    Step 1 – Use a Sandboxed or Virtual Environment

    Do not run Pbms Tools V2.5 on your main PC. Install VirtualBox or VMware Workstation Player (both free for personal use) and set up a Windows XP SP3 virtual machine (VM). Disable networking on the VM before extracting or running any downloaded files.

    1. Operating System: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)
    2. Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent, 2 GHz or faster
    3. Memory: 2 GB RAM or more
    4. Hard Disk Space: 500 MB free disk space or more
    5. Graphics: 1024x768 screen resolution or higher

    Install Drivers: Ensure your USB interface driver (like CH340) is installed. Check Device Manager to confirm the COM port is active.
