Nitro Pro 9 | Activation

Nitro Pro 9 is a legacy version of the popular PDF productivity suite, known for its balance of speed and professional features. While the software has been succeeded by newer versions, many users still rely on Nitro Pro 9 for its familiar interface and permanent license model. However, activating or reinstalling this version today can be tricky due to changes in Nitro's support systems.

Offline Activation

• Export settings and preferences if possible.
• Deactivate or remove the older installation per vendor instructions.
• Install and activate the new version using the appropriate upgrade license.

1. In Nitro Pro, go to Help > Activation > Offline Activation.
2. Click "Export File" to generate a request.xml file. Save it to a USB drive.
3. On an internet-connected computer, go to the official Nitro Offline Activation Portal (if still hosted) or contact support.
4. Upload the request.xml to generate an activation.xtm file.
5. Transfer activation.xtm back to the offline PC.
6. In Nitro Pro, choose "Import Response File" and select the .xtm file.
