The story follows the Tuche family, a modest and eccentric group from the fictional village of Bouzolles. After the high-speed TGV train begins passing through their town without stopping, Jeff Tuche, the family patriarch and local mayor, attempts to contact the President of France to address the town's isolation. When his pleas are ignored, Jeff decides to run for the presidency himself.
