Extend Disc Lifespan
Scratched discs often become unreadable during intense seek operations. Installing from a slightly scratched disc works once; thereafter, the console reads from USB, sparing the disc further damage.

USB SSDs (Best Performance): A USB Solid State Drive (SSD) in a 2.0-compatible enclosure offers the fastest seek times. Even though the Xbox 360 is limited by USB 2.0 speeds (480 Mbps), SSDs often load games faster than the internal SATA hard drive by handling small, scattered data chunks more efficiently.
