What you need: A USB flash drive formatted to FAT32 (not exFAT/NTFS), capacity 4GB to 32GB. Installing the firmware for a Fujitsu N7100 network
- On a working computer, rename the firmware file to
FJSECURE.BIN(case-sensitive). - Copy it to the root directory of the USB stick (not inside any folder).
- Power off the N7100 completely (disconnect AC).
- Insert the USB stick into the scanner’s USB-A port (front panel, not the PC interface port).
- Press and hold the Power and Scan buttons simultaneously while connecting the AC power.
- Continue holding until the LCD shows "Emergency firmware loader v1.0" or a blinking LED pattern.
- Release buttons. The scanner will automatically read the USB and reflash the bootloader and main firmware.
- After 10 minutes, remove the USB and restart normally.
