Overview
This guide explains how to install offline assets for Enscape 3D version 42188 so Enscape can use local asset libraries when internet access is restricted or disabled.
If you have already downloaded the assets (perhaps from a colleague or a manual mirror), click "Use Existing". If not, click "Download" to begin the process. - Useful for: Government projects or secure facilities.
- Many secure networks block the ports Enscape uses to fetch cloud assets. Installing assets offline bypasses the need for the render engine to "phone home" to get a chair or a tree, allowing rendering in strictly offline environments.
Step 4: Point Enscape to the Offline Folder
For current Enscape versions (3.x+):
- Open your CAD application with Enscape loaded.
- Launch the Enscape window.
- Click the Assets Library button (tree icon).
- In the asset library window, click the gear icon (Settings).
- Under Asset Library Location, select Offline.
- Browse and select your folder from Step 2 (e.g.,
C:\Enscape_Assets_42188). - Click Apply – Enscape will validate the assets.
Step 2: Prepare the Installation Folder
Create a dedicated folder on a fast local drive (or network share for multiple users).
Example:

- Set Asset Download Mode to Offline (not “Automatic” or “Streaming”).
- Verify the Offline Assets Folder points to the installation path from Step 3 (e.g.,
C:\ProgramData\Enscape\Assets\Offline).
Once checked, a dialog box will prompt you to choose a storage location.
