Save as install_driver.bat on your USB drive. Run as administrator. The Genius Eye 312 is a legacy webcam
- Windows must still load the driver automatically. Portable apps cannot bypass driver signing.
- But you can pre-load drivers using a portable driver installer like DriverStore Explorer (requires admin once per machine).
Most older Genius webcams use drivers that weren't natively built for the 64-bit architecture of Windows 10. - Extract the official driver package to
C:\Drivers\GeniusEye312. - Open Device Manager.
- Right-click the generic "USB Video Device" > Update driver.
- Select Browse my computer for drivers.
- Click Let me pick from a list.
- Click Have Disk > Browse.
- Point to the
.inffile inC:\Drivers\GeniusEye312. - Select "Genius Eye 312" and click Next.
- Ignore the "driver not signed" warning.
