"Black Stories" (often known as Dark Stories) are a popular Dutch party game where players must solve a macabre riddle by asking "yes" or "no" questions to a game master.

Gameplay Mechanics

1. The Setup: One player acts as the "Game Master" (or narrator). They read the front of a card, which displays a brief, cryptic summary of a mysterious event (e.g., "A man walks into a bar and asks for a glass of water. The bartender pulls out a gun. The man says 'Thank you' and walks out.").
2. The Investigation: The other players must solve the mystery by asking the Game Master questions.
3. The Constraint: Players can only ask questions that can be answered with "Yes", "No", or "Irrelevant".
4. The Solution: The Game Master reads the full solution (printed on the back of the card) once the players guess the correct context or give up.
